"The Spy From Outer Space" Part I
In Smallville, while waiting around for Superboy, Krypto comes across a being from another world, who provokes a volcanic eruption using a strange device.
Immediately, the super dog looks for his master, who is attending school in his secret identity, young Clark Kent.
Clark realizes that Krypto is trying to warn him of a menace, and quickly changes into Superboy. Both take off flying above Smallville.
Upon arriving in the mountains, Superboy sees molten rock erupting from a hill. The boy of steel and his dog start digging a ditch around the volcano to contain the lava.
Moments later, the otherworldly creature uses another device to create a catastrophic thunderstorm on the countryside. Superboy becomes a lightning rod to prevent further destruction, while Krypto creates a vortex at super-speed to counteract the fury of the storm.
It is clear now to Superboy that someone is intentionally causing these events. Krypto takes his master to the extraterrestrial being creating all the havok.
When confronted by the boy of steel, the alien jets off, and using a third device, creates a destructive tornado. Then uses a ray gun to attack his pursuers.
Superboy's invulnerability protects him from the ray gun, and is able to capture the hostile visitor from outer space.
Once at the Police Station, Superboy and the police chief question the extraterrestrial, who admits being a spy from another solar system. Then, the creature teleports away to report back to his people.
Superboy and Krypto fly off-planet at the speed of light, until they arrive in another solar system. Suddenly, Superboy starts feeling weak, and to his surprise, completely loses all his powers.
The soon-to-be invaders capture Superboy. Krypto, who has not lost his powers is kept at bay under the menace that his master will be hurt if he tries something.
Superboy is tied up to a pole, and incarcerated under a dome. The hostiles leave their planet and head to Earth in order to invade. What is going to happen?
