Psylocke started using the ninja suit while still under the influence of the Mandarin and the Hand -Uncanny X-Men #257 (1989)- but kept it even after she was free of their control.  Rogue adopted the yellow uniform and jacket for the first time in the pages of X-Men #1 (1991) during the "Mutant Genesis" saga.  Both of them retained these looks for the next several years.

The looks for Rogue and Psylocke are from the "Dissolution and Rebirth" era.  After going through the Siege Perilous, Psylocke was transformed by Spiral and the Hand into Lady Mandarin -Uncanny X-Men #256 (1989). Rogue, in the meantime, was sent to the Savage Land, and finally separated from her Ms. Marvel persona, forced to survive on her own, possibly for months -Uncanny X-Men #269 (1990).
