The rain has stopped, but the skies remain dark. Still with that crumpled newspaper in his back-pocket, Spider-Man swings through the city, and soon arrives in the offices of the Daily Bugle. He cannot believe the lengths to which Jonah has gone just to get rid of him.

- "I can guess the real reason Jonah Jameson wanted
Dr. Doom to come to America. He thinks Doom can do what
J.J.'s own newspaper can't do -- namely -- stomp out Spider-Man!"

As he sets foot on the building, Spidey reflects on how Jonah has no idea what he is getting into if he thinks he can emerge unscathed after getting involved with the dreadful Doctor Doom!

- "But if he thinks I'm a problem, wait'll he tries to deal with Doom!"

Spider-Man crawls his way to the window by Betty Brant's desk, and with a flirtatious comment, asks her to announce his presence to her boss, the ill-tempered Jonah Jameson.  Will the startled Betty Brant have the courage to bring the message?
