Spider-Man makes fun of some pedestrians who astonished see him walk on the walls as he reads the newspaper he just purchased. The light moment turns somber when he reads the Daily Bugle's headline.

- "What's everyone staring at?
You's think they never saw a fella read a paper before!
Uh-oh!"

"Dr. Doom en route to U.S.A. Will address United Nations" reads the headline, next to a big picture of the super-villain with the caption "Victor Von Doom King of Latveria." Spidey's reaction is one of anger.

- "I knew it! I was afraid this would happen!"

Spider-Man is so upset that he crumples the paper in disbelief; one of the most dangerous super-villains on the planet will arrive in the U.S., and will get the diplomatic treatment!

worst terrorist -- even if he is king of Latveria!"
