Fan favorite Bleez gains "Higher Consciousness" thanks to Peter Milligan and Ed Benes. Atrocitus selects Bleez as his second in command in a story that takes us back to the winged female's roots. A sense of solitude and loneliness in the title became very evident for me in this issue; perhaps it was Atrocitus' chat with Krona's body, or just the loss these characters have endured; but it suddently had a very depressing feel to it; not a bad thing, though; it means the book has its own personality. Still amazed by Ed Benes' art, and the flashback sequences, which are becoming a staple of the series. The origin of a new terran Red Lantern continues to build up, and the story ends with a surprising twist: was it really Atrocitus' choice to "awake" Bleez? He might come to regret it soon!
